EFFECTIVE FLUE GAS CLEANING
SiteConcept designs, delivers and assembles top of the line flue gas filter systems. The filter system can operate at higher temperatures with a higher efficiency than traditional filtration systems. These filters can also remove chemical contaminants, such as acid gases and dioxins, using selective reactants and absorbents.
The filter technology works in the same way as a hose filter, but the filter elements are ceramic and thus completely insensitive to sparks and high temperature. This means that no coarse separation like cyclone is necessary to secure the unit from fire.
With our filter technology, you avoid all possible problems with sparks and high temperatures that in a hose filter or an electric filter can cause fires that damages the equipment.
As a turnkey contract for a flue gas cleaning system, we help you everything from necessary feasibility studies to a fully operational facility.
NEW ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR COMBUSTION FACILITIES
In November 2015, the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers decided on a new directive for medium-sized incineration plants with capacaties from 1 up to 50 megawatts (MW). The directive had to be implemented in Sweden no later than 19 December 2017. The provisions entered into force the 20th of December 2018 for new plants, for existing plants over 5MW by 2025 and for plants 1-5MW in 2030.
The limit value for NOx emissions from existing medium-sized incineration plants for the combustion of solid biomass and other solid fuels is tightened from 650 mg / Nm³ to 300 mg / Nm³. All limit values apply at 6% O2.

Regulation, the calculation of emissions shall be made so that the values correspond to the values that apply to normal dry gas at the oxygen content of 6 percent, if the fuel is a solid fuel.
Limit values for emissions expressed in milligrams per cubic meter of normal dry gas (mg / Nm3) from a 2018 plant that is not an engine or a gas turbine and that has an added installed power of no more than 5 megawatts (MW) at each fuel.

SiteConcept is currently working together with Tenmat and KTH to develop catalytic filters for NOX reduction and tar cracking.
With this new technology it will be possible to combine highly efficient dust cleaning with catalytic reduction of NOX or cracking of tar in the same flue gas cleaning unit. This entails several economic and civil engineering advantages..
