EFFICIENT FLUE GAS CLEANING

Our own design

GAS CLEANING FILTER SYSTEMS

TOP OF THE LINE FILTER TECHNOLOGY

FOR OPTIMAL FLUE GAS CLEANING

SiteConcept designs, delivers, and installs high-efficiency dust removal systems. The filter system’s high efficiency and temperature-resistant material make it the optimal filtering solution. The filter systems do not contain asbestos or ceramic fibers and comply with the highest environmental emission standards worldwide.

TOP OF THE LINE DUST FILTRATION

SiteConcept designs, delivers, and installs high-efficiency dust removal systems. The filter system can operate at higher temperatures and with greater efficiency than traditional filtration systems. These filters can also remove chemical pollutants, such as acidic gases and dioxins, using selective reactants and absorbents.

The filter technology operates similarly to a bag filter, with the difference that the filter elements are ceramic and therefore completely resistant to sparks and high temperatures. This means that no coarse separation like a cyclone is necessary to protect downstream equipment from fire.

With our filter technology, you avoid any potential issues with sparks and high temperatures that can cause fires and damage the equipment in a bag filter or electrostatic precipitator. Compared to an electrostatic precipitator system, we do not consume any electricity to separate the dust particles.

As a turnkey provider of flue gas cleaning systems, we handle everything from necessary feasibility studies to a fully commissioned plant.

NEW ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR INCINERATION PLANTS

The European Parliament and the Council decided in November 2015 on a new directive for medium combustion plants with a thermal input of 1 to 50 megawatts (MW). The directive was to be implemented in Sweden by 19 December 2017. The provisions came into force by 20 December 2018 for new plants and for existing plants over 5MW by 2025, and for plants 1-5MW by 2030.

The emission limit value for NOx emissions from existing medium combustion plants burning solid biomass and other solid fuels is tightened from 650 mg/Nm³ to 300 mg/Nm³. All limit values apply at 6% O2.

In the application of emission limit values for air emissions under this regulation, the calculation of emissions shall be made so that the values correspond to those for normal dry gas with an oxygen content of 6 percent, if the fuel is a solid fuel.

Limit values for emissions expressed in milligrams per cubic meter of normal dry gas (mg/Nm3) from a 2018 plant that is not an engine or a gas turbine and has a thermal input of up to 5 megawatts (MW) for each fuel type.

CATALYTIC PURIFICATION

SiteConcept is currently collaborating with Tenmat and KTH to develop catalytic filters for NOX reduction and tar cracking.

With this new technology, it will be possible to combine high-efficiency dust removal with simultaneous catalytic reduction of NOX or tar cracking in the same flue gas cleaning unit. This brings several economic and plant-technical advantages.
